ORTOFRUTTICOLA MEDEA
Ortofrutticola Medea is a specialist grower of fruit and vegetables in greenhouses and open fields. It has a single tract of land spanning 25 hectares at the foot of the Medea hill. Thanks to the distinctive characteristics of the soil and the use of animal-sourced fertilizer, it is able to grow organic produce with a low environmental impact.
The items in the product range include cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil, dessert grapes and various other fruits and vegetables.
Wine grapes are grown in 9 hectares of vineyards in order to make Chardonnay, Malvasia, Ribolla Gialla, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Nero, Franconia, and Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso wines.
For a number of years, we have been conducting research into ancient varieties of fruit (apples and pears) and tropical fruit (kiwano and passion fruit).
Our goal is to give customers the chance to enjoy an all-embracing experience of everything we have to offer. Therefore, we are making a number of investments that include a farm shop, winery, tasting room and agri-tourism facilities.
Since 2022, Ortofrutticola Medea has had the right to use the IO SONO FRIULI VENEZIA GIULIA mark.
