ORESTE FRATI – FOX KNIVES
The story of Fox Group is the story of two partners in life and in business: Oreste Frati, a Tuscan from Roccastrada, and Valnea Vittoria Del Mistro, a Friulian from Maniagolibero.
Oreste brought the curiosity of a Renaissance merchant seeking inspiration in distant places in order to make his mark by creating something that has never been seen before at home.
Valnea managed Oreste’s dreams with the wisdom for which her homeland is known. Now their son Gabriele has taken the helm.
He continues to run the business in the same spirit, alongside his mother and his wife Claudia.
They are joined by some of the trusted master artisans from Maniago who have been ensuring that the future of blades is bright for at least five centuries. In 2005, Fox Knives – a leading name in cutlery – bought Due Cigni.
When Due Cigni and Fox Group came together, they broke down the boundaries between innovation and tradition.
The production powerhouse Fox imbued the style of the historic brand with grit and character, boldly introducing new forms, new materials and an unprecedented, daring approach.
For example, on the kitchen knives it paired titanium handles with damask blades. Their aesthetic appeal is finely honed, thanks to the cutting-edge modern touch.
