LA GLACERE
“La Glacere” is an artisan prosciutto maker based in Borgo Sopracastello.
This is where ice from a nearby lake was once kept in the town ice house, known locally as the “glacere”. The artisanal nature of the La Glacere production process is synergistically complemented by the use of meticulously selected Italian pork.
In accordance with the Prosciutto di San Daniele Production Regulations, the pigs follow a special diet that is based on superior grains and whey.
This combination ensures that La Glacere’s products have all of the classic San Daniele features while making its prosciutto unique, for customers that appreciate the difference.
La Glacere prosciutto is a natural product that is free from additives and preservatives.
Made using nothing but Italian pork and sea salt, it is produced for retailers, delicatessens of all kinds and the most demanding restaurants.
